About Us

Nothampton Rugby League Club was formed in 2007 and are the only Rugby League club in Northamptonshire.

Our home ground is the Northampton Casuals RFC, which can be found on the How to find us page of the site. All our training sessions and home matches take place at this venue.

We run 9 teams in 2011 including 2 male adult teams, 1 Under 18 side, 2 Under 16 sides, 2 Under 14 sides, Under 13′s and Under 11′s.

The adult first team competes in the RLC Midlands competition with the second team playing in the RLC East competition. The junior teams play in the 3v Sport League with the 16′s competing in a league competition and the 14s, 13s and 11s playing in a series of festival events.

Our playing season runs from May through to September for the adults with the junior season taking place from May through to mid August.

We are one of the leading Rugby League Clubs within the Midlands. Our adult team are the 2009 and 2010 RLC Regional Champions, the 14s won the London 9s with the Under 12s the Kukri League Champions and London 9s. champions. We boast over 140 players registered at Under 18 or below with 60 registered adult players.

Training for the Under 11′s through to Under 14′s is on a Tuesday night from 7pm until 8.30pm with the adults training on a Wednesday night from 7pm until 8.30pm and Friday night from 6.30pm until 7.30pm. The 16s and 18s train on a Thursday night from 7pm until 8.45pm.   

A number of our players have progressed to professional clubs with 1 in the Harlequins RL Under 18 side, 2 in their Under 20s, 1 in the St Helens Under 20s and 3 Under 16 players on scholarship forms at Sheffield Eagles.

The club has achieved the Clubmark Gold accreditation which is the top level of accreditation that an amateur sporting club can achieve.
