“We are looking for good quality athletes with the desire to progress in professional sport,” said Jones. “These trials are about spotting guys who demonstrate talent and who are keen to join our strong Academy structure. If you are aged 18 or younger, and are born after the 31st August 1993 and prior to 1st September 1995, then come along as we like to see athletes who aspire to play the sport at a Professional Level in London.”
The Academy side beat the likes of Wigan Warriors and Bradford Bulls in 2011 and a number of past U18s players are now involved with the first team squad such as Olsi Krasniqi, Ben Bolger, Jamie O’Callaghan, Lamont Bryan, Rob Thomas and Dan Sarginson. Quins RL are also proud to see some of their Young Guns step up and join the senior squad for their pre-season
training. Dan Sarginson and Mikey Bishay have also featured for England U18′s starring in a victory over France, demonstrating a strong set up with the ability to produce top-quality talent.
